Hochhausgeflüster
Info
A play in episodes, about loneliness within community and the courage it takes to ring doorbells.
The high-rise, a place where many realities converge. But does it represent community in our society? Or rather the disappearance of the individual behind facades, and not least, social
inequality?
In “Hochhausgeflüster,” the high-rise becomes a research laboratory. For it suffers from a condition that spreads like a virus, causes division, and threatens to sicken apartment after apartment: loneliness. But can the residents counter it? Deliberately, by chance, or involuntarily, they repeatedly come into contact.
With humor and humanity, KOKELIKO Theater cries out for community and solidarity.
Playful lightness, live music, and dance invite reflection on relationships and forms of connection, and on the power that can lie in a fleeting encounter.
Because sometimes a path out of loneliness begins very quietly, with a glance, a conversation, or a small whisper through the wall.
